Ladies its time for A Season of Change
Along with juggling a busy life, women are dealing with a great amount of change . We are

At menopause, we start to lose twice as much muscle—approximately one pound of muscle a
year—as men. This can cause a shift in body composition and a decrease in metabolism. The
Women's Healthy Lifestyle Project, funded by the National Institute of Heath, found that all
women, whether thin or overweight, gain weight during this period of their lives if they don't
change their lifestyles. In addition, entering this age range means an increase in the risk for
certain diseases, like heart disease and osteoporosis. All this can lead a woman to feel that
her situation is hopeless.
There are many out there who dread that “over the hill” birthday—the one that marks the end
of youth—but now is the best time of your life! With the average life expectancy around 80,
you've barely reached the middle.
This is a time when we as women are moving into a deeper level of self-discovery and
spiritual awareness. Women our age may be in the work force, furthering their education,
caring for children and grandchildren, or balancing a mixture of all these varied roles. Many of

time and we want to be active, healthy, and attractive so we can continue to enjoy this time
and look forward to the future.
